St. Petersburg Sailing Association
The St. Petersburg Sailing Association announces a new contest on Tampa Bay: The King of the Bay (KOB). The sailing instructions are very uncomplicated and knowledge of the Yacht Racing Rules does not confer an advantage on a competitor. Anyone can sail the course at any time.
A single trophy will be awarded at the end of each month to the best performance during that period. A new month brings the chance for the King to extend his reign… or watch his status slip away. The reigning king at the end of the season wins the coveted “King of the Bay” flag.
