Whether you're an experienced sailor, a casual cruiser, a racer, or someone who simply wants to spend more time on the water, the St. Petersburg Sailing Association offers a welcoming community and year-round opportunities to get involved for only $55 per year!
SPSA organizes a full calendar of racing events throughout the year, from friendly club races to special regattas and pursuit races. Members can participate as skippers or crew, improve their skills, and enjoy some friendly competition on Tampa Bay.
No boat? No problem. SPSA helps connect skippers looking for crew with members who want to gain experience and get out on the water.
Our Dolphins cruising group organizes a variety of cruises, raft-ups, anchor-outs, and destination sails throughout the year. Whether it's a day sail, a weekend adventure, or a sunset cruise, members enjoy exploring Tampa Bay and beyond with fellow sailors.
SPSA regularly offers sailing-related seminars, workshops, and educational programs covering topics such as racing, sail trim, safety, navigation, and seamanship. These events are a great way to build confidence and expand your sailing knowledge.
The friendships formed off the water are just as important as the time spent sailing. Members enjoy after-race gatherings, cookouts, holiday celebrations, awards events, and other social activities throughout the year.
SPSA is a volunteer-driven organization. Members can contribute in many ways, including race committee, event planning, photography, communications, website support, mentoring new sailors, and community outreach programs.
Founded in 1972, the St. Petersburg Sailing Association exists to encourage participation in the noble art of sailing and to foster a vibrant sailing community. SPSA is affiliated with US Sailing and the Florida Sailing Association and welcomes sailors of all experience levels.
Whether your goal is racing, cruising, learning, volunteering, or simply meeting other people who love being on the water, SPSA offers a place to belong.
Join us and become part of one of Tampa Bay's most active sailing communities.
